A Calling to the Heads of States

After the sealing of the Hudaibiah Agreement, the Muslims and Quraishy people felt a relief as there was no threat of war.

Prophet Muhammad then shifted his focus to leaders of neighbouring lands. The Prophet Muhammad was carrying out his duty by calling them to embrace Islam.

Some received it well while others opposed strongly.

The leaders that were called to embrace Islam were:

• An-Najashi- Habsyi (Ethiopia) King, he converted to Islam
• Qaisar – Emperor of Rome, he declined politely.
• Al-Muqaqis – Leader of Egypt, he declined politely and sent presents to the Prophet
• Kisra- Persian King, he opposed strongly and even tore up the Prophet’s letter.
• The Ruler of Ghassan also opposed strongly against embracing Islam.
