Don’t show off

Showing off means doing something not for Allah, but to be praised by others.

Showing off does not bring any benefits to us as all our deeds were not done for Allah, and so we will not be rewarded for them.

This is why we must do everything for Allah Ta’ala. It does not matter whether we do it in public or privately as Allah will always know our intentions.

Ikhlas on the other hand means to perform deeds for Allah and to receive His blessings and not praises by others.
