Prophet Muhammad Moves to Madinah

In Madinah, there were many Muslims. Prophet Muhammad gave permission to the people of Mekah to migrate to Madinah. Prophet Muhammad himself was planning to move to Madinah, he was waiting for permission from Allah Ta’ala.

When the Quraishy people found out about Prophet Muhammad’s plan, they decided to kill him. They ordered several young men with swords to surround the Prophet’s home. However, Prophet Muhammad managed to get out of his house when all of the men fell asleep.

Prophet Muhammad had promised his close companion, Saidina Abubakar to migrate together with him. They met during the journey and hid in a cave called Thur.

The Quraishy people tried looking for the Prophet but Allah Ta’ala had protected him. The Quraishy men never found Prophet Muhammad.
