The Second Pact of Aqabah

A year before hijrah, another group from Madinah came to see Prophet Muhammad. This group consisted of 73 people, including 2 women. They made a vow with the Prophet. They promised to spread Islam together with Prophet Muhammad.

They invited Prophet Muhammad to move to Madinah, but the Prophet said he must wait for Allah’s order.

When they went home, they spread the message of Islam in Madinah. The vow is known as “the second pact of Aqabah”.
