The First Pact of Aqabah

A year after Prophet Muhammad met the people of Madinah, a group of them met the Prophet in Aqabah near the last jamrat stone in Mina.

The group consisted of 12 people. 10 were of Khazraj descent and 2 were of Aus descent. They vowed to follow Islam and spread Islam in Madinah. The vow is known as “The first pact of Aqabah”.
