The People of Madinah
Madinah is a city north of Mekah. Before it was named Madinah, it was called Yatsrib. The people are also known as the Thaiyibah people. They were Arab of Aus and Khazraj descent.
The people of Madinah always went to Mekah for trade and to perform Haj.
One day, Prophet Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wassalam had gone to their tent in Mina. He wanted to meet several leaders of the Khazraj people. Mina is not far from Mekah.
Prophet Muhammad explained to the leaders about Islam. He asked them to revert to Islam, and after listening to the Prophet, the Khazraj people recited the kalimah syahadah.
When the Khazraj people went home, they told their friends about their meeting with the Prophet. Their friends were interested in Islam too and many of them converted to Islam.
