Respecting Our Family

A family consists of our closest relatives like our parents, siblings, uncles and aunties.

Islam tells us to always be nice and close to our family. We must respect the elders, and care for the younger ones. We must help the poor, visit the sick and attend funerals of those who have passed away.

Fighting within a family is serious and a sin as it can break up a family. Allah will reward those who give in and apologize as well as those who easily forgive others.

Islam tells us to often visit our relatives especially during important celebrations like Eid ul Fitri and Adha. It is important to visit family on these days to ask for forgiveness and strengthen family ties.
